When we wake up in the morning, I’m sure most of us would rather feel happy than miserable. Yet, we don’t always feel that way. Perhaps our first thoughts turn to yesterday’s mishaps, what didn’t go so well, why we’re not seeing progress, or why our relationships feel heavy at times. When this becomes a daily pattern, it’s easy to see how it can lead to feeling depressed, uninspired, and apathetic about life. In this low energy state, we’re far more likely to fall into poor thinking and unhealthy habits that lead us nowhere good. If this is you, you probably want to get off that beaten track, don’t you? You want to feel alive again - with purpose, direction, and meaning. So, what does it mean to be happy and to feel good? And, how can you get more of this? On a very practical level, we know that managing our thoughts and emotions helps us experience greater peace, clarity, and lightness. Yet, most of us need regular practice to strengthen this. Here’s the truth: what we focus on is a strong indicator of what we create in our daily lives. When we focus on what we want to experience, think, and feel - we create more of it. However, when we repeatedly think about what we don’t want to feel, hear, or experience, we’ll also create more of that. Our mind simply responds to the information we feed it. Our words are powerful. What we say to ourselves, both in private and out loud, reveals whether we’re focused on possibility, or whether we’re resisting and repelling opportunities without realising it. Our words reveal whether we’re rooted in fear (self-doubt, confusion) or whether we’re ready to grow and move forward. What we consistently tell ourselves becomes our reality. When we adopt a lens of possibility, we step into a growth mindset. With practice, we can become powerful manifestors - learning, growing, evolving, becoming wiser, developing our potential, and making choices that align us with our true selves. It sounds straightforward, doesn’t it? And it is, when we practise it regularly. But here’s something important: happiness and joy are not just products of the mind. We are not a mind floating around in isolation. We are body, mind, and spirit - all at once, and always. In the book “Power, Freedom and Grace” (2006), Deepak Chopra explains that our brain’s chemical signals influence our emotions, decisions, and reactions. These same chemicals also exist in the heart, gut, and every cell in our body. This is why phrases like “a sad heart” or “a gut feeling” are not just metaphorical, they are literal. When we’re calm, our body produces chemicals that relax us. When we’re anxious, the body produces stress chemicals that circulate everywhere. When we’re feeling joy or exhilaration, our body produces powerful immune-boosting compounds that protect us from illness and disease. Happiness is a whole-body experience. Knowing this, one would wonder why we don’t prioritise it more. Yet, many of us continue to justify poor thinking, stressful living, emotional self-neglect, exhaustion, and chasing goals that disconnect us from our values, our joy, and our true selves. It’s not the Universe (or God) working against us, it’s our choices. When we recognise the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and treat ourselves with compassion and intelligence, we set ourselves free from a life that feels heavy, directionless, or meaningless. When women come to me for a psychic reading, almost every one of them expresses feeling tired, overwhelmed, unclear, and unsure of the next step. They want change. They feel the calling for transformation. They just don’t know where to begin. (And I say — taking the first step is something to celebrate.) Underneath the confusion, what most women truly want is this:
To experience this, we need to develop better ways of thinking and relating to ourselves. We need to tune into what our mind, body, and spirit need to feel alive. We need to know our core values so we can make aligned decisions. And we need to recognise our natural gifts so we can live as our true selves. Happiness is the result of experiencing inner joy. When we realise we are the creator of our own life, happiness becomes our priority. When we love and accept ourselves, manage our emotions, and make choices that support our wellbeing, we grow, evolve, and feel progress. This is inner power. This is freedom. This is living as your true self, with grace and peace. So, if you’re feeling drained, unclear, disconnected from yourself, or tired of doing another lap around the same mountain, let’s talk. Let’s explore the next step, and get you off that old beaten track. Life is a choice. If you want inner joy, self-love, contentment, and happiness, then choose to grow from your experiences, and choose to create the life you desire. Because it won’t simply fall into your lap - no matter how much you think about it. You are in the driver’s seat. So where are you choosing to go?
