When we are given a choice in life (to go left or right) it can be difficult to know what to choose. Our mind will fight with our intuition endlessly as a way of protecting ourself from perceived harm or risk. The trouble is, we can be tempted to compromise, and choose what we have always done because it’s easier, more familiar or it may feel less risky than something new. This is only because the road less travelled, the unknown, is a more frightening concept with an unknown outcome. However the greatest success stories come from those who have trusted their intuition (their inner wisdom), against the odds and what would appear logical. These people have taken a personal leap of faith to step out and take action that differs to the choice of the masses, and they have had determination to put in the extra effort for the long term gain. Modern-day heroes include Sir Richard Branson and Tony Robbins, however there are a thousand others who have made the brave choice to be and do differently, and what's true for them.
Without taking risks in life for what we believe in, for our purpose and passion, or for the choice for love, we will never know how far we can go and how much we can expand and grow our potential in life. Honouring our soul-truth requires a leap of faith, courage, inner strength and trust in our heart, even when it seems to go against the flow of the crowded freeway. When we feel the frustration of stagnation it can be a temptation to act impulsively. Making a snap decision without appropriate discernment or judgment can lead to unintended consequences. If we are feeling emotional or fearful, it’s wiser to sit with the idea for a short time and reflect on the potential outcomes to ensure we are not veering too far from what we know is good for us. Rash decisions made in the moment, due to a fear of an imagined consequence, will likely become a decision we regret. New beginnings require us to be open to taking a different route, with new vistas and unknown roads. Yes, the way forward may be uncharted and it may feel rough and unclear at first, but there are gems along the way that have not yet been discovered and are not visible to others - only to those who commit to their personal journey. The way forward is paved by our own choices and through a willingness to commit to our soul-purpose with trust in our ability to know what is true for ourself. It's not about blind faith, nor is it about taking action for the sake of it. Our choices require a measure of self-honesty, and courage to do what is right for us. It's important to make decisions that are based on a balance of intelligent discernment (not procrastination), and with a measure of trust in our inner guidance and intuition. Ignore either and we are at risk of missing the mark. New choices must lead to effective action that we know is aligned with our values and our soul-purpose, even though we may not know the exact outcome.
